My Famous Bird Calling Cat

The case of the vanishing Bat

On saturday the 26 I was at the front desk doing my job trying to check every body in because they conveniently came all at once, plus I was trying to make sure that I didn't put them in rooms that hadn't been cleaned yet do to some high school girls that cleaned after school and were still working. After getting everyone checked in I helped clean the last room because we had someone waiting for it. As we left one of the boy's that was staying in that room pointed out that there was a bat hanging on the wall of the stair way not thinking much of it I just left it there. Several hours went by before another guest called me and told me about this bat who was now on one of the stairs. At this point it was getting dark and I was afraid that someone would walk up those stairs when it was pich black and scare that bat and the bat fly at them like in the movies. I spent 20 minutes trying to diside who to call because, of cause, both of my bosses were up in northern UT. I thought of calling animal control, then I thought "Do we even have an animal control in this po-dunk town?" Thankfully one of my boss's friends was using the cafe for a 80th b-day party so I asked her what I should do. She said "Its back, Brady(my boss) tried to get it a while ago but when He went to take care of it, it was gone. Give me a minute and we will go get that sucher." So we had a couple of brooms and a box with newspapers in it to put the bat in after we "stund" it. But lo and behold when we got to the stair well it had vanished. Sadly we retreated but vowed that we would get him next time.

Thought of the day

Why do you think that the simple things in life are so hard to comprehend? "The hardest thing to learn is the thing you think you already know." It's been interesting to see the light bulb turn on as I read "Jesus The Christ". For instance the story of The Master and His deciples in the boat when a storm was raging. If you recall The Master was sleeping, but why? He had physical limitations just like we do. He needed to rest, he was exhausted. That's why He could sleep through the storm and His deciples had to wake him. It's interesting how something so simple can have such an impact.

Mission Update

I have submitted my part of my mission papers to the bishop, but I am still waiting for my interviews so that we can send them to Salt Lake.
P.S. This is what happens when Mom and Jeni get a hold of me.
